My goals are coming true. As of March, the husband will be collecting social security, and still working at his present job. He can do that for two years, through Experience Works, because one doesn’t count as “income” to the other. That, plus the fact that our bills total all of $382 a month, including household miscellaneous like light bulbs, means that we can do some very cool things.
At long last, we’ll have a vehicle again. And restock and restart the old vending business. Which is more of an expensive hobby which occasionally pays for itself, than a business.
And once I have My SSI, however long that may take, or once he’s no longer at his job, whichever happens first; we’ll be able to spend our summers on the road, taking tours of the pagan festivals of North America.
Coming to that realisation gives me something I haven’t had in over a decade: Something to look forward to.
And I have a goal, because of how I’ve been treated by certain segments of the population: To buy or create the most offensive-to-christians items that I possibility can, and advertise them in the bible belt. Because f@#$ you people who literally let me starve and freeze, all those years ago. An aspie never forgets. “Forgive and forget” my @$$.
I want to rent a highway billboard in rural Kentucky, boldly proclaiming the love of Krishna, or Quan Yin, or Gaia. Or the liberating power of modern Satanism. Or the joy of porn. Anything that p@#$es them off That state needs to be forcibly drug, by its heels, with its face in the dirt as it desperately claws at the ground, into the twenty first century.
Karma is bulls@#$. The closest thing in reality is the human potential to get even with those who’ve wronged you. I can’t get even without going to jail, but I can sure as sh#% be inflammatory. In spades.
